Cylindrical Screen
Wastewater is fed into the drum, whose trapezoidal bars hold a fixed 0.5 mm aperture. Cleaning knives lift the screenings, and pressure washing runs in cycles once the liquid reaches the set level.

Rotary Drum Screen
A wedge wire drum with mesh sized to the process turns slowly and without pauses. Spray nozzles keep it clean as it runs, and an integrated screw conveyor carries the retained solids out.

A perforated basket in the channel retains the screenings, and a screw conveyor carries, dewaters and compacts them at the same time.
