Grit Washer
Drains the grit slurry and removes organic matter from it. The outputs are washed and drained grit, wash water and a periodically discharged organic layer.
The grit washer is designed to drain the grit slurry and to remove the organic matter collected at the mechanical stage of wastewater treatment. The products of the process are washed and drained grit, wash water, and a fluidised layer of organic matter discharged periodically.
The washer carries a washing system with nozzles and a controlling solenoid valve. The unit also has a probe measuring the grit level in the separator tank, and an electrically actuated valve for automatic discharge of the organic matter.
