Vibrating Screen
Mechanical vibration separates suspended solids and fine particles, and the modular design lets the unit run more than one screen deck at a time.
The vibrating screen is used in the mechanical stage of wastewater treatment to separate suspended solids and fine particles from the liquid. Mechanical vibration removes the solids effectively while keeping throughput high.
The core of the unit is the working surface (screen deck) made of wire mesh or perforated plate with a defined mesh size. The deck sits on a frame set in vibrating motion by vibrators, usually electric or electromagnetic. The structure is often carried on springs or dampers that absorb the vibration.
The screen has a modular design, so more than one deck can work at the same time. Screenings can therefore be separated into different size grades.
The advantages of the vibrating screen are high throughput and a compact structure. The vibration also keeps the deck from blinding, which makes maintenance and operation straightforward.
