DAF Flotation Unit
Separation of suspended solids and fats by dissolved air flotation (DAF).
Product Sheet
The DAF flotation unit consists of a flotation tank fitted with fine-bubble diffusers at the bottom and a foam collection system. The precision of the tank and the way bubbles are generated both determine flotation efficiency. The liquid inside the tank must remain in laminar, not turbulent, flow so that the flocs formed during the preceding coagulation stage are not broken apart. A well-designed and well-built flotation unit therefore delivers better process parameters, which reduces chemical consumption in the treatment process.
The unit is also equipped with instrumentation, enabling integration with data transmission systems.
