Belt Filter
Continuous filtration of suspensions on a filter belt.
Data Sheet
The belt filter is currently considered one of the most efficient and cost-effective devices for removing suspended solids from wastewater and simultaneously dewatering sludge.
The suspension removal process works by draining the sludge as it moves along the filter mesh, from which it is discharged by compressed air into a screw thickener. The dewatered sludge has low moisture content, often below 70%, which simplifies further disposal.
Equipment
- Air blower for belt purging
- Hot water washing system
Advantages
Lower chemical consumption compared to rotary screensMinimal operator attention required: maintenance takes only 1–2 hours per week
